10. Acceptance of Terms:
- All participants must complete the online registration by August 28th, 2024, through the official event website (kamsurf.com/twc2024).
- The registration fee is RM 180.00, which includes meals during the race days and a competition T-shirt.
- Participants must present a valid ID and the original registration confirmation at the event check-in along with the payment slip.
- The event is open to individuals of all nationalities, but participants under 18 years old must have a signed consent form from a parent or guardian.
2. Event Rules:
- The event will be governed by the rules outlined in the Notice of the Race.
- Participants must adhere to all safety guidelines provided by the event organizers.
- Any behavior deemed unsporting or that endangers others will result in immediate disqualification.
3. Safety and Liability:
- All participants are required to wear appropriate safety gear, including life jackets, at all times during the competition.
- The organizers will have safety personnel on standby, but participants are responsible for their own safety.
- By registering, participants acknowledge that they are physically fit and capable of participating in the event.
- The organizers are not liable for any injuries, accidents, or losses incurred during the event.
4. Weather and Event Changes:
- The event schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions. The organizers reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event if conditions are deemed unsafe or unfavorable (e.g. no wind).
- In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified as soon as possible via email and the event website.
5. Media and Photography:
- By participating in the event, participants consent to being photographed and filmed. The organizers reserve the right to use these images and videos for promotional purposes without compensation.
- Participants are allowed to take personal photos and videos but must not interfere with official media personnel or the event.
- In case a participant does not wish to be photographed he has to inform the event organizers about it in person at registration.
6. Refund Policy:
- Registration fees are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the organizers due to unforeseen circumstances.
- In case of cancellation, the organizers will offer a full refund or a credit towards a future event organized by Kamsurf.
- If the participant doesn’t show up, there’s no refund.
- The fee is not refunded in case of unsuitable weather since the t-shirt and food will be provided in any case.
7. Code of Conduct:
- Participants must respect the local community, environment, and fellow competitors.
- Any form of discrimination, harassment, or illegal activities will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the event.
8. Indemnification:
- By participating, participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organizers, sponsors, and partners from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of their participation in the event.
9. Dispute Resolution:
- Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the event will be governed by the laws of Malaysia.
- In the event of a dispute, participants agree to attempt resolution through mutual discussion or mediation before pursuing legal action.
10. Acceptance of Terms:
- By registering and participating in the event, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
